The Creature

by Lewis   Sep 18, 2007

I see the light in the distance slowly dimming
my sight, turning black.
I panic with fear, I scream with anger,
paralyzed by the thought of dying.
I beg for the light to come back, but
it remains colorless.

My fear chokes me, my anger drowns me,
slowly suffocating. Gasping for air, fighting
for life, struggling to keep my eyes open.
My eyes are becoming heavier and heavier,
my breathes are becoming shallower and
shallower, and I'm out.

Revive me! Revive me! I see a demon
creeping towards me, panting,
laughing hysterically. I look in disbelief,
it can't be. Am I here to meet my second
death, oh wait, is that possible?

I feel my heart beating faster and harder,
I feel my sweat pouring out, but still
cold. I'm shivering, I'm shocked,
somebody get me the heck out of here.

I feel the pain, I smell the hate, I hear
the threats, I taste my destiny,
I see the potential to do all harm against
me. It burns my soul, it freezes time.

It feels like eternity, its over. I'm scared,
I'm horrified, I'm terrified, I jump.
Oh! Its just a dream!

I pissed my pants, I hid the stain, I sprayed
the stench, I told the story, now what?
