Superman was a hero
Strong enough for any fight
But even the speeding bullet
Was stopped by kryptonite

Aquaman was a hero
Controlling all that was wet
But even notorious fish boy
Was stopped by a net

Torch was a hero
Saving the entire nation
But even this hot flame
Was stopped by condensation

The brave men of 9/11 were heroes
Saving the poor souls condemned
The only difference was there was
Nothing stopping them
