PRISONER OF LOVE

PRISONER OF LOVE
Prisoner of his thoughts
The heart holds the key to the cell but will not subside
Emotions are the walls and bars to the penal complex
Lust makes every movement a struggle shackles his waist, wrist and ankles
No contact, no visitors, just time restless and wicked
Pacing the floor of his 10 foot cube
Never relieving his impending doom
Only reliving the pain he caused
Torn and tortured, scarred and scared
Happiness lost based on ego and selfishness
Longing for her touch returns him to where he is from
He replays his every move and mistake on the bed eyes awake
Deeper depths he fell into his own hell loneliness dwells
The fool drops a gallon of water to get one cube of ice
Still he lies thirsty, confused and pitiful
Even with the wall down and the chains releases
Still no peace the maze is guarded and dangerous
Truly no escaping, you are the feast for bigger fish
Lost is a labyrinth of lies
Running from your own image
Angels carry sword and attack in hordes
Demons bear olive leaves for peace
Your friend turn away and your foes creep close
No wishing your way home from this one
No mending the tattered heart
The evidence is written on his flesh
Tattooed for all to see
All witness his crime
All testify against him
He is in a prison of pain that was built on dead lovers.
by the blood of the heart he stabbed
countless victims are now his guards and warden
this is rehabilitation, and revenge
to no end for a man that replace love for lust
now serves the sentence of sin
Confined to the prison within.
