Very Moment

There in that very moment
all my hurt seemed to fall
as I held a delicate flower
swaying to the dancing ball
my very heart was calm at last
no real pain seemed to pass
throw this demon that is my soul
as i held her close to my form
O how I wish that moment would last
for a eternity in time itself
and never would I have to look
at all the people gathered round
but sadly to my hearts dismay
the song ended and we went our ways
and now I could only hope
to hold her again in that very moment....
