Footprints in the Sand

Under the nighttime sky
Serene and calm
The water flows methodically
Singing its psalm

Under the currents
Life, frenzied and free
But to the observer
Only the calm, serene sea

Footprints in the sand
Twilight in the eye
So many stars
Above in the sky

The world breaths
As does every woman and man
The sea washes away
The footprints in the sand
