Taken

by Katie   Sep 27, 2007

This place echoes the erosion of innocence, and the confused events that shattered my soul.
I remember a stumbled stagger and a cry of pain.
We use to smile as we watched the rain but now the drops fall from my eyes as
I watch the devastating floods they create.
You kissed me under the silver lace of the moon. It shone full and bright over both of us.
Now shades of black smother its delicate figure and heavy pot marks spread like disease.
It's melted away into half a moon,
a slice of something that could have been more. Its smooth reflection is like the blade that stabbed me.
It was on those sandy beaches, a picture of perfection before,
That now only brings flashes of f**k you to mind.
These silver stones are eroded by the powerful waves of water until they have been broken down into sand.
This beach holds the sands of time that changed me too soon.
You have broken me; I shall throw myself to the sea,
Now that something is already taken.
