My Sea of Tears

Hearing the silence of a a darkened night,
trying to see what is out of sight,
starring into the eyes of bitter pain,
trying to hide from the fears calling my name,

on an island of broken dreams,
i long for someone to hear my screams,
slowly fading away from it all,
trying to rid of the nightmares only i can recall,

baring all the hurtful laughs,
shoving away my other half,
all that is there are my silent fears,
but no one can see them beneath my sea of tears,

lost in a field of imaginary light,
i shy away from the shadows of the night,
lost in the past of what use to be,
trying to find what has always been there, but no one can see.
