Solace in her words

by Becky   Sep 27, 2007

Missing the silence
words flit through her ears.
Razor teeth converge
on her delicate wrists,
cascading down
her blood so blue.
For there is no oxygen
in hell.
Filling the room
she floats through
the darkness of water.
The nothing
is oppressing.

Shadows fall upon
her body, all but
engulfing her.
Giving voice
to her silent
screams.
They scatter,
fearing her words.

Sensing their fear
she begins to sing
her words in rhyme.
Thick as the blood
pooling beneath her
the words fill the
silence.
Alone at last
she sinks to the ground.

He walks up to
her triumphantly.
Placing his hand
upon her shoulder
he says "Now my darling,
you may rest",
with a smile
on his face.

For she has
beat her
demons
using only
weapons of
her heart
and mind.
She can rest at last.
She is O.K
