Too Long

by XSugarSexSuicideX   Sep 27, 2007

He said that she had been gone too long,
She tried to relate to him by singing a song,
But she had been gone too long from his life,
And he had gone and found a wife,
Not so long ago, they were one soul,
Now it seems nothing will make those two whole,
They became lovers, is how he told her,
Never knowing it was making her bolder,
She had turned down a thousand, just for him,
She wanted to yell, but didn’t know where to begin,
So instead of yelling, she buried her head,
As far as he knows, she’s got to be dead,
And she never did talk to her best friend again,
Though his children and hers were the best of friends.
