A lonely nobody

by NICOLE   Oct 2, 2007

"I told you so." Third-grader response from an eighteen year old. Not typical, ridiculed. She didn't care. She was right, and she wanted everyone to know.
"I hate people like you." Under my breath. her eyes glowed. Superiority shone through. She didn't care, she was right. She only knew she was right. People pointed at the conflict, her pacing, my teeth grinding hard.
"One punch and it's over!"
"Knock her out!!!" Screamed the crowd.
I clenched my fist behind my back. She was arrogant. She must pay. I wound up, and smack. Her jaw cracked, her head vibrated, blood gushed and she collapsed. I smiled.
"I got the last laugh!"
Loud enough to be heard. She stared. Knocked off her pedestal, a lonely nobody. Nobody lent her a hand, they stared then scurried away. She was no better than I was. She finally realized it!
