Looking up at the July sky
I noticed your laugh seemed happier
and your smile seemed brighter.
Just looking up at the stars
at the midnight hour made my day.
Catching fireflies
and putting them in jars,
shake 'em up during the day
to remind us of the stars.
I looked over my shoulder and there you were,
camera in hand, you said
"let's never forget this moment."
we took lots of photos,
but I don't think that they
could catch the happiness in my eyes that night.
