Quick Girls

by selene   Oct 3, 2007

Quick little girl, the dance will soon end
and what have you achieved?
quick little baby, the moon sinks beneath the sun
mysterious girl, quick, what have you achieved?
don't try to run away

i knew a girl, she worked as a maid
cleaning rooms and dirtying her tiny hands
bewildered, she glanced at adult magazines
and she said, "i wanna be like you"
pointing at fake-plastic shapes

quick little child, the dance will soon end
and what have you achieved?
"not a lot," she says, "not anything at all
but it's on today," she says
i just might run away

slow cheetah lady, slow it down, slow
quick, what have you achieved?
