If I Were A Poem

by A Victim of Fate   Oct 4, 2007

If I were a poem,
I would be one that is understood,
One lot think is no good.

But if people would look closer,
They would see a poem as long as time,
With sorrow, anger, and no rhyme.

They would see me as I truly am,
They would see someone whose heart has been broken,
That I don't have many prizes or tokens.

I would be a adventure,
With sorrow, happiness, and pain,
Madness, even a little jealousy, and a bit of shame.

If people would be more kind to each other,
They would see that same happiness in the world,
The whole world would be changed by this one girl.

If I were a poem,
I would be one that is understood,
One lot think is no good.
