The Perfect Poem

I try to think of the perfect poem to express my emotion
But nothing in words can describe my hearts devotion.

I start a poem with thoughts that are all new,
But they always end in thoughts of never being with you.

It hurts deep down
when I look and you're not around.

That feeling seems simple something easy to tell,
But then you have to add the part when we stumbled and fell.

It's not as easy after that little show,
I wanted to tell you how I feel my head said "yes" when my heart yelled "no".

I get held back when I try to walk straight,
My legs move foreword but thoughts of you say wait.

So now I'm sitting here doing the same thing again,
I know it's my heart but I blame it on the pen.

If I ever write the perfect poem I'll let you know,
But when my heart's broken it moves so slow.

So only look for it at just the right time,
When my thoughts are all together and I can add a little rhyme.
