Yearning

by Nikoshiana   Oct 6, 2007

Sat here with tears brimming on my eyelids
Exhaling the longest of sighs,
As they prepare to fall down my cheeks
Blurring my vision with every blink.
I am longing for you so deeply,
Deep into the core of me I am aching for you.
I feel like one of them women from olden days
Waiting for their love to return from war,
Staring into space as the sun sets.
Tossing and turning exhaling sighs with the dawn.
A restlessness in my soul, an yearning for you
Your footsteps echoing in my ears,
Your smile filling me with warmth,
Your eyes that glint and bedazzle me.
I miss you more than I ever thought it possible.
And I sit here exhaling a sigh that tells its own story.
Like the olden days and how love was portrayed,
There is a desperate longing in my heart.
For I swear the moment I see you again
My eyes will flood with tears.
And I will leap into your arms like a child,
And so as these tears brim I try to stop them falling,
And try to continue with another moment of my life
So as to distract myself from the waiting..
The long anticipating...
I love you.
Return soon, sweet love of my soul.
