Chance

by Jason   Oct 7, 2007

A shattered building tattered and torn
the saddest happiness, with nothing to show.
To share unconditionally, questions never cross the mind.
A negative influence engraved as if grime.
Stepping back and looking, would remind
and consider the options of an unchanging life.
Playing the cards that each one is dealt.
Never considering, reshuffling the deck.
Only one thing asked, only one little chance,
to grab the spotlight and show you can dance.
To prove to all those looking at you
that you could do, what you said you could do.
In the end both parties would part.
With smiles on their faces and tears in their hearts.
For although, neither, compromised much
both showed the strength in the fight is not giving up.
There is a benefit to giving all,
a partnership is formed where great and small,
join together and decide what to do,
A civilization of old to a civilization of new.
