Today

Every tear tells a story
Every smile holds a haunted past
Every tomorow holds a yesterday

My tears fall relentlessly
Can you catch them for me?
Hold them so I never have to cry again?

My heart sinks to the cold floor
Can you retieve it?
Can you repair me?

My smile is hollow
Can you bring me to life?
Can you make me see the light?

My tomorows are running out
Can you help me make more tomorows?
Can you save me?

My hope falls as I realize the truth
You cant save me
You cant be there for me

So my heart lays there, frayed
Tears cascade my face and I know I'll be crying my sorrow for eternity

My smile is still hollow as ever
There is no tomorow
Only a yesterday
