A verbal shove.
Testing the limits so sternly set
Harmless addictions and
Please let me be
I can’t stop now.
Wait. He has to
Make me cry.
Make me hurt.
Make me feel alive.

“I thought you were getting tired of him”
The ups and downs of a normal relationship are viewed so harshly when the participants are young.
