Theres a place far from here
where I used to go
to listen to my thoughts
trying to find my soul
Its somewhere near my childhood home
a place not so far from here
Ill tell you the story if youll only listen
so lend me your ear and sit closely
I sat on the grass
kicked off my shoes
listened to the water
and played with the lies
they danced in my head
and clouded my feelings
never again could I let him know

far from this place
where my soul is happy
where everything is perfect
a place to be free
a place to be loved
needed and wanted
the place that allowed me to feel
what I felt in your arms.

I took off my clothes,
sunk into the cool water of the pond.
Felt the fish bite my toes,
felt my life slip away.
It doesnt matter any more
the lies that I spread
the hearts that were broke
the one I left behind.
None of it matters anymore.

The water overtook me
