Ode to Truth, Trust, Friendship, Ode to What's Lost

by Johnnys Medicine   Oct 7, 2007

You had given me the hope to live
But that didn't last long you took it away
You made me forget all that I did
But it came back.

I may be sixteen but I feel near my death
I thought you were the only one that trusted me
But I have lost all that was left
I'm lost as this darkness destroys me

I've lost myself
Who am I?
I've lost my wealth
I've lost myself.

I've lost myself
Who am I?
I've lost my wealth
I've lost myself.

You covered up all that was real
You covered up all of the lies
Now, I can not find what is real
All that was me now dies

Do you even know what's real?
Why can't you ever trust me?
Do you know how to feel?
Is this how it's going to be

I've lost myself
Who am I?
I've lost my wealth
I've lost myself.

Come back to me I need you
I do not want to ever lose you
This silence is louder than words
I never wanted to push you away.

Come back to me I need you
I do not want to ever lose you
This silence is louder than words
I never wanted to push you away.

Silence is louder than words.
Don't let out lives fall from our eyes.
