It Seems A Bit Broken

Thick. Thin.
Easy. Rough.
We've been through it all.
We've both been tough.

Silently. Restlessly.
Building. Growing.
A transparent wall formed
Seems like this is worth knowing.

Best friends forever,
Thats how we'll stay.
But silently a rift
Is forming each day.

It pains me to see
Our lives now splitting.
We need to act now
Instead of just sitting.

So here is my thought.
I love you my friend.
I always have loved you,
So let's make sure this isn't the end.

As hard as it seems,
With high school now here,
Life just gets harder for me
If you're not near.

Silently. Quietly.
The wall is built.
Harshly. Mercilessly.
Let's turn it to silt.

Our friendship stands whole,
But it doesn't feel that way.
It seems a bit broken,
When I see you each day.
