It hurts to say goodbye
I don't want to think it's true
As much as I may deny it
I'm still so in love with you

The feelings are masked by smiles
The laughing is all just an act
What you continuously fail to see is
How much I still want you back

I pray this isn't the end
The thought alone makes me cry
Everyone is so foolish
For there is no good in goodbye

Our days flash before me
As I am forced to play host
It's the best memories
That continue to hurt the most

My heart is slowly breaking
I feel it crack each day
The pain is overwhelming
But I keep it all at bay

When you walk towards me
My breath catches in my throat
I hide my weary eyes
And everything that I wrote

You look so beautiful
It begins to sting my brain
Living this life is hard
When without you I'm going insane

The word still floods my mind
It consumes me each and every day
While I may search for one to replace it
"Goodbye" is all I can say
