A new perspective

I have had so much pain
I have shed so many tears
But yet I have so much to gain
I have been released from all my fears

From all the rips and tares
I have gotten so many scars
But yet I have no more nightmares
And I feel as if I could reach up and touch the stars

There have been to many hardships to bear
I have had a lot of grief and strife
But I have so many people who care
I have even changed my perspective on life
