Cancer came and he ran way.

by Emilie   Oct 13, 2007

It's the Grade 9.

We'll dance around with are Jeans and band-T.
Her hair goes around as she's looking at me.
A grin on her face, her checks filled with ch-ear,
for only happiness shall linger here.
The night at the dance, we stood in the corners,
Hoping we'll be are own retarded loners.

Until that slow dance, stood just her and me,
We stood tall as we danced with thee.
Sing,
Laughing,
Smiley as can be.
We danced and we dance, are souls running free.

Then along came him, as charming as can be.
He put out his hand to you, not to me.
You two danced around as the song played soft,
As i sat back just humming it off.

It was just dance, nothing more
Until we reached the two from doors.
You hugged him, and he you.
Then i had not knowing, what to do.

What was one day, then two, them went a week.
She was smiling and as happy as can be.
But slowly it became you and him, no more me.
Weeks to months, and months to a year.

Grade 10 is here, not you with me.
He sits with you, two as happy as can be.
But slowly as days go by things seem to change.
Her emotions and movements seem re-arrange.
A secrete i hi-dding, i can tell by her look.
we've bin friends forever,
I can read her like a book.

Her eye's going glossy,
Her world hit and shock.
When she opened her eyes,
He wouldn't even look.
Her face all confused,
She didn't even know,
Three months she'd slept,
The snow could show.

She goes to rub her face,
Put her hands through her hair,
Tears filled her eyes,
When she noticed it wasn't there.

He took one look and shook his head,
As he looked down at her,
Laying in bed.
baby i love you, but i just can't stay, ma-by we'll meet up another day
he whispers to her.
Ripping a knife right through her.

She cried for days hating herself,
There was nothing she could to,
Nothing she could help.
It came so fast,
like a stabbing lancer.
Over took her body,
filled with cancer.

I stay at her side,
holding her hand.
Standing my ground, and keeping my land.
Not letting her cry alone,
Not over a phone.
I stayed by her bed, as the days went and led.

Slowly getting worse,
both of us could tell,
She wasn't going to make it,
She was living a hell.

Not to much longer,
Will her heart beat.
I'm taking her hands,
slippers on her feet.
There some where we must go,
Someone we must meet.

We walked through the doors to see that its the dance.
she covers her face,
using her hands.
People stare, it looked like laughing.
Genesie's should was quickly cracking.
So i smiled at her and took off my cap,
To reveal that nothing lay under my hat.

Shock across her face as a tear filled her eye.
' shh, now baby don't you cry '
I stay as i take her hand.
We walked to the dance floor,
To the disk playing band.

We spent the night dancing a ball,
We ran around,
Will no care at all.
People stared, but it didn't matter.
we were retards again, pretend, bursting with laughter.

((In loving memory of my bes friends Genese, Who is missed my everyone at home every day <3
