Watching the Endless

Has anyone ever told you, to blindly follow your heart
When everything seems to be... so wrong and confusing?
Or, has anyone ever told you to listen, to your heart
At each time you are searching for... the right answer?

Well, someone did used to tell me that
And by following my heart, like I was told, I ended up here
Trapped in my dreamless shadow-cloaked mind
And by listening to my heart, I have forgotten who I am
Suffocating by all these doubts and questions

My lying heart, asked me not to forget
So, I wait, my eyes resting upon the road between the hills
While my mind, constantly orders me to move on
Because it knows, you will never finish, what you have forgotten to begin

So here I am, watching these endless lands go on forever
Unable to return back home...
Incapable of remembering, if there was ever such a place...
Alone, I hesitate on whom to believe
As one has already failed me, and the other frightens me
