Burning Cancer

by ken   Oct 17, 2007

Rising from the depths of hell
Brought into light by the human well
A creation by the devil himself
Only we can detect its stealth
Spreading through, like a tsunami wave
Quarantine can possibly save
Bound to death by invisible chains
Your life, your love, your friends it claims
Mercy is never shown to the soul
But instead a relentless-inhuman toll
It's a serial killer, still on the run
Moving from victim to victim when it's done
You pray, you beg, and hope you're not next
But deep down you know it's a juggernaut's hex
It doesn't matter if you have happiness or plight
It selects it host on a dreadful flight
A pesticide living beneath the skin
Fighting a battle it will most likely win
The assassin has a profound way to kill
Some people put their hope in God's will
It burns like wild-fire inside its prey
Until the final moribund day
This isn't just an Orwellian dream
But one of life's undeserving schemes
Your life was once full of happiness and bliss
But in the end you got Judas' kiss
