Left empty

by Indian Comma Bean   Oct 18, 2007

Her smiles and her laughter
Bring about the memories of a yesterday,
Where my heart was left falling,
Never shall it meet its end.

My hope left crumbling,
My eyes left wrought,
My lips left trembling,
My hands left empty.

Her love and her story,
One of such imagery.
Every time I tell it over,
I lose a piece of her inside me.

My ears never to hear again
What her sweet voice might whisper,
Never to hear the silent heartbeat
Of the love left between.

Her teeth of ivory,
Eyes such as emeralds,
Every time I gazed straight through,
I left myself to be within.

My skin left frozen,
My hair left tossed,
My body left shivering,
My soul left wandering...
