Inner Maelstrom

by МÅťťђĕш Яĕĩŋĕßĕřg   May 6, 2004

The inferno rages on inside
It burns with the fires of a thousand suns
Fury fills the hearts of men,
They fight for God, honor, and country.
No
They fight for vengeance, for treasure, and hate.
Mighty men come crashing down,
From the pedestals whence they stood,
The Clash! The Fury! The Hatred...
They all fight and the battle rages on.
The fire is still burning,
Mortal lives lost drive it on and higher
Many have fallen in the heat of battle
Many have yet to fall
They will realize that this fire must go out.
No
They are blinded by the sweat from their brows,
They cannot know the truth
Unable to grasp at peace
Human lust for power, for revenge, for victory.
This heated fire burns!
Maelstrom, Holocaust, Conflagration
They Fight! They Battle! They Die!
All will give some to the fight,
Some will give all.
These fighters are mindless soldiers.
No
They are people lost in Battle
Stuck in the shroud that covers them
The War is ongoing
Not all are outward clashes
The inferno rages within,
Inside is an altercation,
A fury battling with inner demons.
The inner battles lead to the outer ones.
Silent struggles of inner being
Inner Victory will tear the shroud of hate.
Yes
