I wish that I could get you out of my head,
When you left, my heart was left for dead,
I ignored every warning sign,
Can't anyone see that I'm not fine?!
I thought you'd never hurt me,
But I never thought that I couldn't see,
That everything about you was all wrong,
I should have left but now I've stayed too long,
It feels like you took my heart from my sleeve,
Put it through a paper shredder, then gave it back to me
I trusted you not to hurt me on that fateful day,
But in the end you damaged me anyway,
I should be mad, I should hate you,
For all the things you've done, I guess I missed my cue,
You broke my heart so I could cut myself on the edge,
You let me fall when I jumped off the ledge,
I wish I could say I don't care,
But when it's about you, that statement is rare,
I wish I could say I didn't cry,
But that would be a down-right lie,
More than that, I wish you'd take me back,
I'm in love with you, I know that for a fact,
I thought you were mine,
My broken heart's been shattered one too many times,
Most of all, I wish you'd release me of this misery,
You have all that's left of me,
My heart is broken, left in pieces,
With my life ended, would all of this pain cease?
Can't you leave my heart broken,
I remember every word you've spoken,
I've done all I could to make you see,
Somehow you're still blind to what you've done to me.
