You Are To Die For, I Want To Live

by Josh Hopper   Oct 21, 2007

Stopping for a second,
just realize what has happened,
flashing back it's only a matter of time,
to realize it has come to this.

I'll confess that we were close,
nothing could change any of what I know.
Tell me what you want to say,
keep away from what you fear.

I'm better off without all this,
and you know better than anyone else,
hope is to die for
and I want to live.

Things have gotten personal,
without an escape this seems impossible,
only I can change my mind,
your happiness... not an option.

The need to end this call is strong,
like the urge I have to end this song,
pain is weakness, weakness is love,
love is pain, love is wrong.

I'm better off without all this,
and you know better than anyone,
hope is to die for,
and I want to live.
hope is to die for,
I want to live.

So close your lips, stop your thought,
I don't care what you have to say,
what you say is what it's better off,
better off you don't speak at all.

I'm better off without all this,
and I hope you know that in the end,
your what I hoped for,
hope is to die for,
and I want to live,
hope is to die for,
I want to live.
