The Distance was Just too Much.

Summer loves never seem to last
Being too short and going too fast.
Losing touch with a guy I once loved
I guess the distance was just too much.

The times we had were just about right
Waking up early and staying out late at night.
With him, I had the best conversations
Our love in the beginning, had no hesitations.

He taught me to never judge a book by it's cover
And taught me he could be more than a lover
A boyfriend, a best friend to stay close by
To keep hold of my hand and keep by my side.

But what do you do when the summer ends
Then you're faced with the problems distance sends
How do you deal with being so far away
Having him move on and not seeing him everyday.

    I would've commented sooner, but my computer didn't say you posted anything new, I'm sorry =(. I'll get to them all eventually. But I'm sure they're all just as beautiful as this. This was so deep and so beautiful. Often summer loves fade with the winter. But keep your head up, that perfect guy is waiting for you. Wonderful piece, I loved it.
