If I Could Create Another Earth...

by Hannah Mhairi   Oct 25, 2007

If I could create another Earth,
I'd make it just like the one we all know,
There's no animal I'd eliminate,
No foliage I wouldn't grow.

If I had to pick a part to change,
I wouldn't attempt to change history,
I would change are future path,
By making all of us, our mistakes see.

The battles we have fought before,
Those of poverty and pain,
Doesn't need to have no cause,
And no soldiers life need've been lost in vain.

For what is done is done,
And it ought to lie with us forever,
Maybe then, when we wake up,
We could change for the better.

If I could play God with this Earth,
There's no person I'd rid of their part,
Not one human would I delete,
I believe we all have some gold in our hearts.

There isn't one war that I'd undo,
If lessons had been learned from them,
And then to find solutions,
We wouldn't have to repeat our mistakes again.

If I was made an offer,
To make changes that could last,
I would surely turn it down,
If we'd all learn from the past.
