In Sorrow's Glare (Rondeau)

by Laura Lamarca   Oct 26, 2007

Please leadeth me and take me there
from martyrdom, to freedom where
my soul can bask in love's embrace
and happy tears can kiss my face,
from this courtyard of my despair.

Take my hand, give me dreams to share,
approach a door or climb the stairs
and bathe me in your warmth and grace.
Please leadeth me...

Too long I've stood in sorrow's glare,
allowed harsh words, to me, ensnare;
I've swum in others pained disgrace.
Confidence lost without a trace ~
my shattered heart now pleads repair.
Please leadeth me...
