Truth vs. Dare

by Hannah Mhairi   Oct 27, 2007

Sometime I stop and wonder,
what are we meant to do down here,
why are my days so predictable,
and the future still unclear.
I wander round the world I live in,
grasping at thin air,
and then i stop and wonder if,
my life should be truth or dare.

If you pick truth,
staying honest and true,
are you allowed to pick,
a dare that you want to do.
Do you just live up,
to what people expect you to,
or can you swap over once,
to play a dare card too.

Well I may not have lived long,
compared to some of the rest,
but I have lived enough to know,
I love the dares the best.
And to know I'd rather risk drowning,
or getting eaten by a shark,
rather risk the cruel torrents of fate,
than float safely in the ark.
