Just the Thought...

by LoveBird99   Oct 28, 2007

I wish that I could tell you, how much I truly care
You speak of the future as my heart begins to tear
I know that its only a possibility, but never say never
I am shocked at the thought of losing you forever

When you mentioned the thought of you joining the army
In my mind were horrible pictures, dis plaid so vividly
I could see you in that uniform, holding a gun in your hand
I cold see blood pouring everywhere, and you drowning in quicksand
I imagined you stepping on a land mine, blowing off half your head
I thought of you in a pool of blood and on an ambulance bed

Those pictures in my mind, just will not go away
When you mentioned the army, I had not one word to say
I may be melodramatic, but I care so much about you
I just cant bear the thought of forever being without you

An idea it may have been, as small as a flake of snow
But I'm horribly scared to death as I beg you not to go
Before you make a decision, just briefly think of me
Just look into my eyes and tell me what you see
In the time it takes to blink an eye, you could not be there
And the space where you stand, could turn to empty air!
