Too heavy - too numb

Sometimes i sort of feel like
im slowly falling down
as though with every beat or sound
a heavy weight is pushing me
in beneath the ground

No matter what i try to do
no matter where i turn
that heavy weight will follow me
along, around and through
which ever way i look

i try to close my eyes to run
or hold my breathe for a release
sometimes i even find myself
whispering 'hey please' to
someone i overlooked

even when im sleeping
this feeling is here
i dont know where i came from
but where its taking me
is what i really fear

It could take me to heaven
but i think more likely hell
for this big cloud thats squashing me
is wiser than i know.
