I wish....

I look to the left and see an empty; I wish it wasn't empty. I wish you were sitting there, looking into my eyes, staring into my soul.

I walk down the hall; I look to my right to see no one walking with me. I wish you were there with me, hugging my arm, holding it close.

I sit down to eat my lunch, sitting at a table with people I barely know. I wish I did though, wish that one of them would turn out to be you.

I ride the bus home, in a seat I have all to myself. I don't want to be by myself. I want you there, resting your head on my shoulder.

I'm sitting by the computer, waiting for you to get online. I wish I didn't have to wait. I wish you were sitting in my lap, with my arms around you, holding you close.

I'm sitting here alone thinking. I don't need to wish you're there, for you're always on my mind.
