In love, out of sadness

by smit   Oct 30, 2007

It's so hard to not think about her

"I'd give up anything for her, even beer"

I'd say a million lines like those for her

If it made her eyes look for me everywhere

I would be more honest to you than I am to me

And I would never talk about another she

Or ever compare you with others

Because you are only one that matters

Girl, are any of these words getting to you

Or are we still which you can't call two

Your silence could mean a million things

But in my ear the word "no" is what rings

I know I push you away when you come close

But girl that's when my nervousness flows

I run out of words when you are so near

I just want to stare into your eyes so clear

I just want to smell you from head to toe

But in your eyes I am one without a flow

Oh well, someday you will get a new perspective

And realize that I should have been your objective
