Stuck in a storm

by smit   Oct 30, 2007

Lightning bolt pierces through a tree’s heart

Leaving its roots, tearing it apart

Just like you come and go from my life

Each time stabbing me with a knife

From head to toe the tree is first tortured

By the fierce companion of the storm

Then the main event comes to the orchard

Bashing into the trees, ruining their true form

Just as your beautiful smile melts my eyes

Tormenting them to come closer and closer

But in the end all the tries fail and it cries

And eventually dies as you break the mirror

But the lightning is not to be blamed for

Making its journey from the sky to the earth

Just as you are not to be blamed for

Going via me to prove to the world your worth
