Silence Roams The Earth

by Kathryn H   May 8, 2004

Silence remains in the earth
Quietness stays alert
Stare at the stars
Crash into the walls
Being taught by laws, being hurt by flaws
Parents aren’t listening
They are trying to hold back from shouting
Children want to go out and play
But the guards are out watching their every move
Breathing in air that fills this world
Silently breathing what’s left of you
The world is shattered by people who don’t care
The earth is surrounded by; morals, and principals
Beatings aren’t going to happen tonight
Lay down and lets try to see the light
Try to find a way to guide us through
The agony and suffocating isn’t helping us
Take a breather
The earth is silent tonight
Stillness will take over
No fights will be in place
Love will hopefully be up in flight
Watch the stars as they fall from the skies above
No one will be cutting themselves in the tub
Tonight, tonight. Tonight is the night we will watch the light
Guide us through the horror
Make us want to live again
Help us all mend
