Feeling alone

Now I know what it feels like to be alone
Cold and hungry all on your own
Never going to find a home
This is what it's like to be alone

You're not beside me
And I'm feeling lonely
Darkness is all I see
Trapping me - to stop me being free

I see faces staring
Laughing at me - not caring
Expressions all despairing
Words being said but they aren't sharing

I try to make the darkness clear
I want the faces to disappear
I just want you to be near
I call your name but you don't hear
