Candy-floss Fuzz

by Laura Lamarca   Nov 9, 2007

Cotton clouds drift
in marshmallow mayhem,

sifting sky
in marble squares, amidst
stares of childish
wonder...

to ponder life
in adulthood's stares.

Peaches plop in hail and
rain, in juice of apple
and orange stains, to
steam through silk of
parachute dreams, in milk
of magic's dripping stream

and earth lies creamed
in chocolate screams that
echo in smiles over
many miles...

in fields where
dice dip dimes to dive,
yield ginger bees
in caramel hives.

People produced in
candy-floss fuzz, who sing
to bring sweet bumble buzz,

to tumble soft in purple hay,
play in baby's sway of peace.

This world is seen through
grown-up eyes as each
surprise dances
with delight and try as I may,
with all of my might...

my days are
rich in childish sight.
