What was the point
to bring up my hopes
to tell me that you couldn't breathe
you couldn't sleep
there's not one ounce of sincerity

in everything I do
in every place I go
you're there

is my love really the one
that brought you to the light?

neither ever belonged to you
that I'm not willing to admit

was there really a wake up call?
