Lightning

by NightFlyer   Nov 12, 2007

Translucent blades go flashing down from misty firmament,
Scorching electric light and flaming swords plow into damp earth,
The thunder roar like cosmic artillery slices the rainy mists,
Shakes the ground in ringing tremor,
A burning apocalypse smashing into the green garden worlds of night,
Shaking our world unmercifully,
As we huddle in the recesses of our suburban cavern.
