A wounded lady

by judith redmount   Nov 12, 2007

I saw a lady wounded
Her life was filled with dreams
But suddenly she looked so weak
Or was it darker then it seems

She was very innovative
With developments, way ahead
She looked depressed from where I was
She was lying sick in bed

She could turn a penny into gold
No obstacles to meet a star
But suddenly her dreams seem gone
Like a falling evening star

What happened to the lady I know
Who took away the shining light?
How could a person change so fast?
Be darker then the night

I need her smile and energy
I like her being around
Please tell me what to surprise her with
And where it could be found
