Draw Me In

by A Victim of Fate   Nov 15, 2007

Your gaze draws me,
I am whatever you see,
A princess in a castle,
A kitten with a tassle.

Draw me without the briuses and cuts,
Without the clothing that really sucks,
Hide the evidence of your love,
Hide the evidence from heaven above.

Color outside the lines,
Give me sorrow, give me signs,
I am your barbie doll,
To play with all day or not at all.

Cover the cuts with long sleeves and glasses,
With makeup and keep me away from classes,
I am giving you everything,
My soul, my very being.

Draw me as your rock star,
Hide everything you are,
Draw me with love in my eyes,
To hide the tears and the lies.

Make me happy,
Don't hide me away,
Let the truth set you free,
Like always don't listen to what I say.

Hide the lies behind my drawing,
Your fears I am slowly lulling,
Hide the fact that I love you,
From the baby you grew.

I won't let you draw her in as you did me,
She will taste what it's like to be free,
The only thing she has is your eyes,
I will protect her from your lies.

Don't ask now to be forgiven,
I'll leave, leaving you to your living,
Your little girl will never know you exist,
Bang! I couldn't quite resist.

Now you lay dying on the floor,
Your done drawing me, you'll draw no more,
Goodbye my love see you in hell,
For I have broken your unrelenting spell.
