If Only She'd Listen

I'm feeling steady boiling
Rage fires within
It's a long and tragic story
But where do I begin?

I'll just say the facts straight forward
A friend of mine was raped
But in the horrid process
A different girl was shaped

She was once so happy
Nothing else to be said
But this person that took over
Just wants to be dead

She says she wants to be alone
I tell her that's not right
I tell her she needs her friends
But it's a useless fight

I try to scream for her
But my words fall on deaf ears
She says I wouldn't understand
Though I've cut for at least 3 years

This goes on forever
But she just won't listen
I yell and then hang up
I feel my eyes glisten

She says that I am hurting her
But she's hurting me too
I'm really trying to help her
But what else can I do?

I'm not a magician
I can't make is leave
But even I have learned to live
With the pain I have received

I want her to be ok
But she won't let me in
And I can't help anyone
If they will not listen...
