which it makes it a bit difficult
to fall asleep at times
like a child longs to be held
i long to be held by you
in my dreams you're my sweetheart
and I'm yours too
but will my dream ever come true

walking around
loving another
but i still get constant reminders of you
trying not to love you
for fear of falling apart
back into oblivion
back with a broken heart
you still swim through my dreams
never escaping my heart's grasp
wanting to let you go
and finally be free from let down
and regret
but you always seem to find
pathways back into my heart
back into my mind
into my dreams of longing
dreams of despair
waking up
dripping in a sweat
from my old heart's nightmares

will you always be on my mind
making it difficult to sleep at times
will i always long to be held by you
or will i be able to be truly, deeply over you?
