Left to Wonder

by Feels Like Ecstacy   Nov 23, 2007

How should I live my life?
Who will the end result be?
Will I be proud of who I am?
Should I be proud to be me?

Will I find the one I long to be with?
Someone to live with the rest of my life?
A man who thinks there is nothing more beautiful,
Nothing better than his aging wife?

Will I make sense of my yesterdays?
And live a life with no regrets?
Will I grow with a sense of security?
Will I be deceived with lies and debts?

Could I sacrifice to receive?
Could I let go of something I love?
Could I go on with nothing?
Would I rely on something above?

I believe love is a mystery,
And there are certain types you adore.
You can grow old with the best,
And sacrifice for nothing more.

Does everything happen for a reason?
Does every person have a plan?
Should I sit in the back and wait?
Or listen up and understand?

Who's to say what should happen?
And who's to tell you you're wrong?
Who's the person who affects you most?
Who's the one made to keep you strong?

Why are there so many questions?
A question with no reply.
Why are we afraid to ask?
And left to wonder why?
