Death's Lullaby

Bodies did leave that dark alley way as the crime truly did take place,
Horrifying screams from the long forgotten area and yet nobody remembers such a case,
They say the crazy man sitting in the corner is just a penny-less forgotten member,
Although nobody knows of the time he lost his family back in late December,

The blood shed red although at the time I thought my soul was just dripping,
The doctor said the man in my mirror is just a case of insanity from overly thinking,
Even though he has a PHD I think he really wonders if its true,
How could you hear a story of some kind and not think that its a life you once knew,

How can they say I'm seeing things if my eyes want to put it together,
Maybe the sky is just dropping things and somehow its because of the weather,
The earth is round and the sky is blue while our circle is floating in space,
Sounds like everything must have an answer and reality is a disappointing place,

The demons took my tears when I wanted to cry and gave me more time to rest,
Satan seemed to shut the doors on me because I guess I was lost during life's test,
God sent his angels to watch over me and turns out hes left speechless somehow,
I'm escaping my mind and I'm stopping time so I'm really in for it now,

The scary little elves from fairy tale land cant seem to stay away from the booze,
Reality is that nobody really knows whats happening so drug abuse is just old news,
We fly we fall we kick and scream and nobody seems OK today,
Everyones lost so announce the world is just never gonna come out to play,

Happy crazy sunshine comes down to save us all,
Really the sun is laughing at us and loves to watch us fall,
If the world is out to get everyone then time will just have to be used,
In fact the earth does wait for our soul to break and leaves us sad and abused,

The ice dares me to take one more stop so my soul will just fall through,
If one step is all it takes to leave this place then allow me to demonstrate to you,
Your body may die but your soul might fly so let me know what your going to do,
If you want me to wait then I can stay and help you make it through,

The moonlight shines on the houses nearby and forces them all to sleep,
Say goodnight to the air and dream somewhere so you wont even make a peep,
Bring the blankets up over your heads and never let the world inside,
It may take your tears but fill you with fears and leave you with regret by your side.
